ERT National Symphony Orchestra
The conductor Michalis Economou, who has gained an international reputation, returns on the podium of the National Symphonic Orchestra of ERT (the Greek Broadcasting Corporation) for a concert that pays tribute to the top German composer Ludwig van Beethoven. As soloist, Agapi Triantafyllidi who has gained distinctions both in Greece and abroad.
The programme will begin with the Ouverture “Coriolan” in C minor opus 62, written in 1807. The “First Concerto for piano and orchestra opus 15 in C major” belongs to the premature wotks of the composer and maintains the typical form of a concerto of the classical period.
In the second part of the concert, we will listen to the “Fourth Symphony” opus 60 in B flat major” which was first played in 1807, interestingly enough at the same concert as the Coriolan Ouverture.
