In recent years, the great pianist and orchestrator Dimitris Kalantzis has graced us with jazz arrangements on works by the greatest Greek composers, such as Manos Hadjidakis and Mikis Theodorakis.
In this concert, he promises to take us on a nostalgic journey in the Greek musical past, playing original arrangements for a Big Band of songs by Kostas Kapnisis, Alekos Sakellarios, Kostas Yannidis, Takis Morakis, etc. Old melodies reveal themselves anew, recreating a familiar soundscape through a new musical approach. Kalantzis will be joined on stage by the gifted performers Athina Routsi and Terry Vakirtzoglou.
