Dazzling soprano Julie Fuchs and conductor and pianist Alphonse Cemin have been working together for quite a few years, delivering refined performances in their imaginative recital programmes. Olympia is happy to invite the two distinguished artists in a musical evening of the highest quality, that demonstrates a wide-ranging immersion in the repertoire: the romantic mélodies by Gabriel Fauré, the exotic Shéhérazade by Maurice Ravel, the subtle emotional nuances by Hugo Wolf on poems by Goethe and the sensuous wit by Augusta Holmès are followed by the American folk songs by Joni Mitchell, the enticing songs from the musical “Into the woods” by Stephen Sondheim and the unique style of legendary Michel Legrand in his music for the movie “Peau d’âne”.
